KMFRC Bulletin Board – FAQ

1. How do I get a CF One card?

You can register for a CF One card online here:

2. How do I know if I’m eligible for a CF One card?

Many individuals connected to the Canadian Armed Forces community may be eligible for a CF One card, including:

  • Currently serving CAF members (Regular and Reserve Force)
  • Veterans
  • Spouses and partners
  • Children and dependants
  • Parents of currently serving CAF members
  • Parents of veterans
  • Surviving family members
  • Some Department of National Defence (DND) employees
  • Staff of Non-Public Funds (NPF) organizations

Eligibility depends on your connection to the military community.

To use the Bulletin Board, you must provide a valid CF One number. The KMFRC does not independently verify eligibility beyond confirming the number format.

3. Who can post on this site?

You may post if you:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Have a valid CF One number
  • Are affiliated with the CFB Kingston community
  • Live in Kingston or a surrounding community connected to CFB Kingston

4. Can I still post if I do not live in Kingston?

Yes, as long as you live in a surrounding community connected to CFB Kingston and are part of the local military community.

5. I’m a realtor — can I post housing listings?

No. Listings must belong to the individual posting them.

This means:

  • You may post housing only if you are the owner
  • Realtors cannot post listings on behalf of clients

6. Can I sell or promote products on this site?

No. The platform does not allow:

  • Product sales
  • Online storefronts
  • Transactions

It is strictly for service-based offerings and awareness.

7. Can I advertise events, fundraisers, or community activities?

No. Only service-based listings are permitted. Events, fundraisers, and community activities are not allowed.

8. Can I post on behalf of my child?

Yes. Parents or guardians may post on behalf of a minor (e.g., babysitting), but:

  • The adult must hold the account
  • All communication must go through the adult
  • The adult assumes full responsibility

9. Does the KMFRC verify or endorse postings?

No. The KMFRC does not verify qualifications, endorse listings, or participate in agreements between users.

Users are responsible for their own due diligence.

10. How long do posts stay active?

Posts remain active for 30 days, unless renewed.

11. Can I pause or renew my listing?

Yes. You may:

  • Renew your post before it expires
  • Pause it temporarily when unavailable

Paused listings are hidden but can be reactivated.

12. What is CF One used for?

Your CF One card connects you to programs, services, and benefits available to the military community.

13. What is this platform meant for?

The Bulletin Board is a community platform for service-based listings, designed to support connections within the CFB Kingston community.
